IT Vision welcomes two “new” Councils

As at the 1st July 2007, IT Vision would like to welcome the two newly consolidated Councils, the City of Geraldton-Greenough and the Shire of Northam.

All four previous local governments, the City of Geraldton, Shire of Greenough, and the Shire and Town of Northam all utilised SynergySoft as their core software.

IT Vision would like to pass on its thanks to both  the City and Shire staff and our Project Managers, Sarah Langford at Geraldton and Melissa Kendall at Northam, for the tireless effort, long hours and commitment that they put into this process over the past few months.

The City of Geraldton-Greenough is located just over 400km north of Perth with a population of approximately 34,000 residents.  The City is known as a major port to the surrounding mining and resources industry.  Other major industries such as fisheries and agriculture contribute to employment and the economy of the district.

The Shire of Northam is situated an hour east of Perth with a population in excess of 10,000.  The Shire is an agricultural region that yields a wide variety of produce.  The town site provides major services to the extended area and acts as a hub for adventure tourism such as recreational flying, ballooning and is also the location of the starting line for the famous Avon Descent.

We look forward to evolving our relationship, from an established past with the four previous authorities, to our future collaboration as the primary core software provider to the two combined Councils.
