IT Vision does not supply or support hardware or the operating environment and we recommend that our customers seek advice and pricing from their preferred equipment supplier, whom IT Vision will liaise with to ensure that the hardware environment is suitable for SynergySoft.

SynergySoft will operate on an Windows or Unix platform and customers may select whichever is the most appropriate for them. Most of our customers have moved towards a NT environment, but there have been some notable exceptions to this. If a Unix environment is preferred, we would suggest that AIX or Linux is selected, as we already have customers using SynergySoft under these operating systems.

We recommend that a terminal server environment is utilised using Microsoft Terminal Server (or Citrix Metaframe), particularly for remote users. This can aid the support process (both for the Council and ITV) and improve responses.

The following documents indicate IT Vision's recommendations (in a Windows environment) for customers that expect up to 20 concurrent Users and for over 20 concurrent Users. They are guidelines only and requirements should be discussd more fully with IT Vision staff and your hardware supplier.
