Samantha is a Director of Taylor Burrell Barnett with over 27 years’ experience in urban and regional planning.

Taylor Burrell Barnett is a specialist urban design and planning practice that has been helping to shape communities in urban and regional WA for nearly 50 years.

Samantha has a broad range of experience in all areas of planning and has been a long standing contributor to the pursuit of more sustainable urban communities. She also played a role in the formulation of Western Australia's Liveable Neighbourhoods Policy and is an advisor in the industry having held numerous Committee, Panel, Working Group and Technical Advisory Group positions, including current roles on UDIA’s Housing Diversity Committee, a member of the CRC’s Water Sensitive Transition Network and the Deputy Presiding Member Kimberley/Pilbara/Gascoyne Joint Development Assessment Panel.

Samantha’s vast experience has provided her with knowledge of leading design principles, approval processes, implementation and engagement strategies. Samantha is a strong advocate for the leadership role that Planners must perform in continuing development of community place creation through collaborative and innovative urban planning to secure the future prosperity and liveability of our cities.
