IT Vision welcomes new Chief Operating Officer

IT Vision recently welcomed experienced IT Executive, Gary White into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Gary is a highly-skilled professional with experience in managing large operations and development teams across multiple geographies.

Gary has previously worked for InterSystems as well as the Northern Territory Government as Design Authority Lead & Director of Enterprise Services. Gary’s experience also delves into the health and aged care sector, having worked for CareCom solutions as a Global Director Sales & Marketing and Orion Health as Executive Vice President Global Services.

As COO, Gary will have accountability for IT Vision’s operational departments and delivery including Development, Professional and Support Services. This entails the day-to-day responsibility for operational delivery providing leadership, management and vision to ensure that the business has effective people, operational controls, and administrative procedures in place.

Gary will also be responsible in-part for assisting with the growth of the company and ensuring its financial strength and operating efficiency.

Key outcomes Gary will be focused on implementing include the introduction of a Design Authority to assist with the ongoing maturity of the Altus R&D Roadmap along with progressing IT Vision’s ISO 27001 quality improvement certification program.

Gary grew up in the United Kingdom with an Irish father and Italian mother. He completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours: Information Systems) at the University of Salford in the UK and commenced his career in Europe working in Amsterdam, Germany and Italy. Since then, Gary has lived and worked in Melbourne, Brisbane, Noosa, Boston, Arizona, Darwin, and now Perth, Western Australia.

Outside of work, Gary has a passion for MMA (mixed martial arts). He started boxing at age 14 and now has a black belt in Brazilian Jujitsu! He has competed in Muay Thai in Thailand and currently  teaches and trains at Wilkes Martial Arts Academy in Myaree. Gary also has a love for photography and the great outdoors, often spending his weekends fishing, hiking, climbing or surfing.
